Teaching Approach
The School’s curriculum
is based on an integrated approach.
Listening, speaking,
and basic Chinese character recognizing skills are
emphasized early on, while reading and writing are
introduced as each student progresses.
Students do not need to be
a native Chinese speaker or have any Chinese
background to attend.

Mission
of the School
|

The
mission of the ACCC Chinese School is to serve the
local community through promoting cultural
awareness, and providing Fairbanks students with an
opportunity to learn the Chinese language, culture
and heritage.
It
is open to any
gender, race, color, religion, and nationality.

Curriculum
The
school offers classes from beginner’s Chinese
through advanced Chinese. The school also caters to
the demands of adults and other special needs for
Chinese learning.
To
create an environment where students enjoy the
process of learning, classes in the school are
carefully arranged within each two-hour session by
combining two types of teaching units: basic
language units and enrichment units.
Students will
learn Chinese Phonetic Alphabet system (Pin Yin) and
Simplified Chinese characters. At the same time
students will familiar with Chinese culture.
Both adults and Children classes
are offered.

Time and Venue
--2008 Fall semester starts on
Sep. 6th, 2008 and ends on Dec. 13th, 2008 with total 28 teaching
hours.
--Classes will be
held on every Saturday from 10am to 12 noon at
University Baptist Church, 1197 University Ave.

Tuition
Fees
--$160 for the
whole semester (14 sessions).
--Family discount is applicable.
--Returning student discount is applicable
Refund Policy
--Withdraw
after the first session, refund 100%;
--Withdraw after
the first two sessions, refund 50%;
--No refund shall
be made beyond three sessions.. |
